MY BACKGROUND AS RELATED TO ELECTROMEDICINE RESEARCH HOBBY
Although deeply interested in alternative medicine and the empathic arts in general, I also have an extensive background in electronics engineering, and some in bioelectronics. When I was led to my first encounter with electronics as used in alternative healing modalities, I decided that this was a "natural" for me to do personal hobby research on the electronic gagetry recently developed for improving health, classed as "microcurrent devices." And I have also collected much info and dato on the ones that have presented themselves to me.
As one of my hobbies, I've dabbled in two types of alternative health electronic gagetry, one type that fits into the classical electronics theory and bioelectric system concetual base; the other type fitting into a more mysterious "radionics" technological system functioning on the wholeness aspect of things. (There are vastly many other types of applications of electronics to health, of course.) Conventional radionics devices such as the famous SE-5 (price: $2,500) remain beyond my reach for research at this time.
Microcurrent devices, such as those designed by biophysicist Bob Beck, Ph.D, and cell physiologist Hulda R. Clark, PhD., appear to follow the classical laws of electronics and biology, as far as I can tell.
HULDA R. CLARK'S RESEARCH
Hulda R. Clark, PhD.'s work used refinements of herbal remedies for ridding people of a wide range of illnesses, yet her diagnostic tool was called a "Synchrometer", a device which uses the wholeness-aspect of things (as far as I can tell yet.) Her books "A Cure for All Cancers" and "A Cure for All Diseases" describes in detail how to build and learn to use a Synchrometer. (I have built a Synchrometer; yet I struggle with mental blocks as to doing the series of lessons to learn its use; but there does seem to be a clearly-discernable signal change when the wholeness-field aspect is activated, in my opinion. More to be learned later, I hope.) This device uses the user as part of the measurement system much more so than does conventional electronic instrumentation, and so requires special training in its use. It is said to be an order of magnitude more sensitive than conventional analytical chemistry technology permits, as proveable by a simple technique she describes in the book.
In the more recent "Cure for All Diseases" book, Clark also describes how to explore a biofield resonance mechanism, to identify biological organisms by a characteristic range of ordinary sinusoidal waveform frequencies combined within her Synchrometer along with the wholeness-field of the subject organism. For example, she found molds and mycotoxins from about 80 to 300 KHz, bacteria and viruses at 300 to 420 KHz, protozoa and round/flat worms at 350 to 440 KHz, tapeworms at 415 to 500 KHz, an ant at 1.2 to 1.3 MHz, a chameleon at 1.4 to 6.4 MHz, a cat at 1.5 to 8 MHz, and a human at 1.6 to 9.2 MHz. She also found that then directly-stimulating said organism with excess ordinary electrical waveform frequencies of their characteristic resonance frequency, would permanently injure or kill them: useable as a pathogenic healing tool against micro organisms, also as a guideline for safety for human electromagnetic exposure. There is room for a tremendous amount of health research here.
During the course of her research into this biofield resonance mechanism, she fortuitiously discovered that if her waveforms were entirely offset so they were monopolarity, never reversing direction into a set of handholds, not only did the specific frequency-selected microorganism perish, but also did a broad spectrum of other pathogens at the same time. Along with her electronics engineer son's help, this was developed into what she calls a "zapper", a device which chops a 9 volt battery voltage at a rate of about 30 KHz, and is applied through a 1K limiting resistor to copper pipe handholds covered with a water-soaked paper towel layer, to prevent metals contamination. She indicates usage as a 7-minute application of this microcurrent for 3 times spaced 20 to 30 minutes apart, can be done daily; only contraindications mentioned are in pregnant women and pacemaker users, though only because of inadequate research done on them yet.
SQUARE VS SINE WAVEFORMS
A comment on the use of square waves as applied to the human body (instead of single-frequency sine waves): The use of pulses in Hulda Clark's "zapper" microcurrent device inherently generates high frequency harmonics of the output pulse frequency, since pulses are made up of overlayed sinewaves of many harmonic frequencies, adding together so as to create the square pulse shapes, according to classical Fourier analysis theory. Such harmonics could reach into the danger zone for people in some circuit configurations, harmonics which exist at 1.6 MHz and above. However, her circuit design uses a pulse frequency of less than 40KHz, from a pulse output source of a 555-type integrated circuit, which has a limited bandwidth, minimizing harmonics above the 1.6 MHz range, so not thusly considered potentially dangerous. The duration-amplitude effects on the human being needs methodical research to determine severity of problems with these frequencies, if any.
The use of this "zapper" is part of a greater regimen of analysis, herbal and avoidance modalities, depending on what specific problems the person has. Her above-mentioned books describes a great many of these combinations in detail.
MY OWN TESTING OF CLARK'S MICROCURRENT DEVICE
My own research has centered on the use of this Clark "zapper" microcurrent device, and have built a half-dozen of them so far. To test its safety personally, I have done the 3-application series at least daily for the past 5 months, and no adverse reactions have been found at this time. An unexpected side effect of this safety research was the spontaneous remission of several chronic low-level problems I've endured for decades, particularly those of sinus infection and prostate irritation: both gone, and I can detect odors I've not known since a child, and can sleep all night without getting up to go to the bathroom. THe low-key sub-clinical depression hanging on me for decades also vanished like clouds on an otherwise sunny day. I very much appreciate these improvements in my life! I also have ceased getting the respirator diseases that swirl around in the people around me; the other researchers doing research on themselves using "zappers" also have discovered freedom from respiratory infections as well as a general dissappearance of some chronic problems nothing else would entirely cure. There usually is a very low-symptom period of mere hours when a range of symptoms reported by infected people around (such as "the flu") is experienced, which then is gone and does not return, allowing the person to continue working when all other co-workers are sick and off work because of the disease going around. While this does not prove "cure", it certainly is welcomed by the researchers. The "zapper" device is only part of her regimens; for example, carbonated beverages and nickel-containing utensils are avoided as part of her recommended prostate healing process, as described in "The Cure for All Diseases".
RADIONICS DEVICE COMMENT
The "radionics" form of electronic health-related devices remain a mystery to me, so I won't mention them now further except to say that I do believe they are capable of assisting specially-trained people to do some very interesting things, and thus deserve serious "wholeness-aspect" research.
BOB BECK'S RESEARCH
Dr. Robert Beck (whose doctorate is in physics, not medicine) realized the effect could be done non-invasively "in situ" by connecting standard electrodes on the ankles where blood vessels surface, and send the 50 to 100 uA current from ankle to ankle, through the highly conductive saline bloodstream network. His device reverses this current every 3/4 second, and is applied for 8 to 20 minutes a day for 21 days. His only caution is to stop using herbal remedies during this period of use of this device, since "cell electroporation" might cause overdose effects of them. He proposes this electromedicine research device for spontaneous remissions of hepataitis, hepatitus B, herpes and HIV, perhaps other diseases too. To get at virus that may be hiding in the lymph nodes to reappear years later possibly, the second research experimental device, to be used daily after the first one, applies a magnetic field pulse to the lymph node areas, each pulse is 35 watt-seconds (joules) producing roughly 9,000 Gauss for 10 milliseconds. This magnetic pulse induces electric current deeply in the adjacent body tissues. (Dr. Beck suggests this second device may also be able to get rid of "miasms", a more subtle illness mechanism.) He is offering his technology freely to anyone who will participate in a volunteer research program, submitting to documented conventional medical testing before and after use of his technology.
Reverse transcriptase: Robert Beck attributes its success in HIV works through immobilizing the vector so that the reverse transcriptase is incapacitated; then body gets rid of the infected cells, flushing out with drinking plenty of water during the exposure series. The infected person then takes the P-24 test again, which is expected to show no infection and the white cell count rising already, a "spontaneous remission", as indicator of "HIV cure". The device also is said to work on hepatitis, hepatitis-B, herpes, and possibly other problems.
(Dr Robert Beck is known mostly for his FDA-approved VT5 electromedicine device on the market which is the only thing proven to cure such things as depression and anxiety, yet is not accepted by the medical society yet. The agonizing process he went through to get that approval showed him the futility going directly that way for the present urgently-needed device. He also is known for doing extensive research in the little-known (here in the west) field of the detection and defense against a form of unique radio-transmitted signals that have embedded disease-causing patterns (such as leukemia) laced into them, developed for anti-personnel use by other countries in the past. It is said that such embedded-patterns can heal as well as harm, just depending on the directing intent of those using them, just as in the use of any other tool. He says the future is in electromedicine, not just in pharmaceuticals and surgeries.)
In my opinion, electromedicine is a field deserving of further urgent widespread creative research. Hulda R. Clark's "zapper" microcurrent 555-timer-based device especially deserves widespread intelligent research, being inherently inexpensive, safe, and easy to use.
